Opening date for Epic Universe
The new Universal Epic Universe theme park will open May 22, 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort! The Florida resort announced the news on Oct. 17, 2024; ticket sales launched Oct. 22, 2024 (see below for details).
It’s easy to not see the trees for the forest; to be clear, May 22, 2025 is the opening date for all five worlds of Epic Universe: Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

The exhilaration of an opening date! How fun it is to say … Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry will open May 22, 2025! Stardust Racers will open May 22, 2025! Monsters Unleashed: The Frankenstein Experiment will open May 22, 2025! Mine-Cart Madness will open May 22, 2025! “The Untrainable Dragon” will open May 22, 2025!
Universal Helios Grand Hotel, attached to the back of the park, opened April 16, a surprise bumped earlier from its previously announced May 22 opening date.
Two new hotels located across the street from Epic Universe opened earlier: Universal Stella Nova Resort opened on Jan. 21, 2025 and Universal Terra Luna Resort opened on March 25, 2025. (Terra Luna was originally announced to open one month prior, but was officially delayed in October 2024.)

Universal officially announced Epic Universe back in 2019. Six years later, guests will get to experience Orlando’s first new theme park since Universal Islands of Adventure opened in 1999. After years of speculation, announcements, and construction, it’s getting real.
Epic Universe tickets
Single-day tickets for general public
As of March 13, 2025, Universal launched single-day Epic Universe tickets for the general public. (Previously, guests who were not Universal Orlando annual pass holders had to purchase a multi-day ticket inclusive of Universal’s other parks.)
Single-day Epic Universe prices start at $139. Tickets are available on Universal’s website.
At the time of launch, the soonest available date with this single-day ticket was June 1, 2025. (The park opens May 22.) Ticket availability continues through Dec. 31, 2025. Here’s a look at date-based pricing for Epic Universe single-day tickets:
Ticket packages with Epic Universe + other Universal parks
For guests looking to experience all of Universal Orlando’s parks in one vacation, there are multi-day Universal Orlando ticket packages with a minimum of two days — allotting only one day at Epic Universe and not including park-hopping to or from the new park.
Visitors can mix and match other details among a suite of options, including which of Universal’s other parks they’ll visit (Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Volcano Bay), if they want to park-hop between those original (non-Epic Universe) parks, and how many days they want to buy admission.
The least expensive of these multi-day ticket options is a 2-day ticket with one day allotted to Studios and/or Islands of Adventure, and another day allotted for Epic Universe.
Epic Universe tickets for Universal Orlando annual passholders
When Epic Universe first opens, existing annual passes to Universal Orlando will not include admission to Epic Universe as part of the pass holder’s benefits. Universal Orlando passholders can purchase single-day tickets for Epic Universe, ranging from $121-$173, depending on the date.
AUniversal Orlando passholders can also purchase Epic Universe preview tickets for visiting taking place April 17 – May 19.

Epic Universe preview tickets for select dates from April 17 – May 19, 2025 are now available for all guests.
Express Pass for Epic Universe
Add-ons for front-of-line Epic Universe Express Passes launched March 27, 2025.
1-day Express Pass for Epic Universe starts at $130 per person per day, in addition to your admission ticket.
Eligible attractions for Express Pass at Epic Universe:

- Constellation Carousel
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
- Yoshi’s Adventure
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
- Curse of the Werewolf
- “Le Cirque Arcanus”
- Hiccup’s Wing Gliders
- Fyre Drill
- “The Untrainable Dragon”
Express is not eligible for these Epic Universe attractions:
- Mine-Cart Madness
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
- Dragon Racer’s Rally
Express Passes grant entry into each eligible attraction one time. Express Pass Unlimited is not offered for Epic Universe at this time.
Express Passes are not included with any Universal Orlando annual pass, nor is the perk included with any stay at a Universal Orlando hotel (as it is for the other parks at top-tier hotels).
VIP tour
VIP Experience for Epic Universe launched ticket sales on March 27, 2025, with prices starting at $300 per person (in addition to park admission) for a four-hour guided tour of Epic Universe with access to Express lines.
2025 Explorer Ticket (U.K. and Latin America only)
For travelers from the U.K. and Latin America, a new Explorer ticket will launch, granting access to 14 days at Universal’s original (non-Epic Universe) parks and one day at the new park. Sales for this Explorer Ticket launched Oct. 22, 2024 for stays in 2025.
All-Parks Ticket (U.K. only)
For travelers from the U.K., the All-Parks Ticket will grant access to 14 days at all Universal Orlando parks, for however many days each you choose. The All-Parks Ticket sales launched Oct. 22, 2024 for stays beginning Jan. 1, 2026 (not a typo; that’s 2026).
