Epic Universe: A view from Stella Nova Resort
Stella Nova rooms offer some out-of-this-world views of the new Universal Epic Universe theme park for an affordable nightly rate.

Universal Stella Nova Resort, a Loews hotel, opened on Jan. 21, 2025. When the new Universal Epic Universe theme park opens on May 22, 2025, Stella Nova will be just a short shuttle ride (or walk) away. Some rooms at Stella Nova offer views of Epic Universe’s five new lands. Our own Matt Roseboom and legendary theme park aerial photographer @bioreconstruct on X were there during the new hotel’s first few days of operation, capturing the views you’ll see if a stay at Stella Nova is in your future.
Note: These photos were captured with zoom lenses. While you can see Epic Universe from Stella Nova, it would be a stretch to call the rooms “park view.” That honor is reserved for Universal Helios Grand Hotel, opening May 22 and quite literally located inside Epic Universe.
Stella Nova third-floor views
When staying in a “park-view” room at Stella Nova Resort (listed on Universal’s website as a standard room, in comparison to the “pool-view” room option), here are some Epic Universe icons you might see!
Visible in the photo below is the backside of the Golden Temple, featured in the Mine-Cart Madness coaster attraction inside of Donkey Kong Country. In the distance, you’ll also be able to spot Mount Beanpole, part of the Super Nintendo World skyline.

In this next photo, you can spot (from left to right) Stardust Racers, Dragon Racer’s Rally, the How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk beacon, and the Epic Universe Chronos. The Chronos is the icon of Epic Universe and will be the first thing guests see before being transported to Celestial Park.

Across the street from the Stella Nova Resort entrance is the show building for “The Untrainable Dragon,” a Broadway-style stage show based on the “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise.

Frankenstein Manor, the entrance to Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, peeks out over highway construction. From your room, you might be able to see electricity crackle in the night sky as Victoria Frankenstein continues the work of her ancestors.

You can even look across the street in envy at Universal Helios Grand, Epic Universe’s in-park hotel.

Even with a parking lot view, you’ll still get a stellar view of the Epic Universe skyline.

A pool-view room at Stella Nova might not have views of Epic Universe, but it does lookout onto the Orlando skyline, with other Orlando-area hotels and Terra Luna (Stella Nova’s sister hotel, opening in March 2025) visible as well.

Ninth-floor views
From the ninth floor of Stella Nova, you’ll have a view of the Chronos as well as a peek at some backstage areas of the entrance to Epic Universe.

Stardust Racers will be a sight to behold from your room at night as the trains light up the night sky as they race by. Downtown Orlando is there as well, but that’s not as interesting, is it?

The Golden Temple and the entry to 1920s Paris look beautiful from this angle. This would also be a pretty cheap way to see Taylor Swift if she ever comes to Orlando, as Camping World Stadium is in the distance. Your view won’t be great and you wont be able to hear anything, but you might be able to see some lights, so that’s pretty cool.

A floor on a higher level also might provide another perspective into different lands, like this shot peeking into Dark Universe. It’ll look really cool watching coaster trains on Curse of the Werewolf pass by as the electricity crackles in Frankenstein Manor’s tower.
