Epic Universe construction update: Frankenstein Manor show building exterior will be themed
The Frankenstein estate invites you to check out a new Dark Universe construction update.

It’s a miracle. A moment one used to only dream of. The show building for Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, which is visible in the attraction’s queue, is being themed to match Frankenstein Manor. The ride is located in Dark Universe inside of Universal Epic Universe. Thanks to some incredible aerial photography captured in mid-February 2025 by the one and only @bioreconstruct on X, we have a sneak peek of what this show building’s paint job will look like when it’s all said and done.
Frankenstein Manor
Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment takes place inside Frankenstein Manor, but the ride itself physically takes up much more space than the Manor’s façade lets on.

Scaffolding now surrounds the exterior of the ride’s show building, which will be visible to guests from the queue and from parts of the village of Darkmoor. This will help the large building better blend into the spooky environment of Dark Universe.
The theming of Frankenstein Manor wraps around the house itself, but when extending into the attraction’s massive show building, the theming will most likely blend in for a seamless effect. The extent of this theming, however, remains to be seen, as the scaffolding was still in place at the time of bioreconstruct’s flights.

The part of the Frankenstein show building that peeks out on the other side is also partially covered in scaffolding, as this portion is more visible to guests walking past the attraction. The remainder of the building’s surface that’s not covered in scaffolding will, presumably, not be a concern for guests’ sight lines while in the park.

As you can see in the top center of the image below, the themed paint job peeks out of the scaffolding on the right side of Monsters Unchained. This matches the same theming being painted on the opposite side of the show building.

While it’s such a small detail, a themed show building adds to the overall immersive vibe when spending what will likely be hours in Monsters Unchained’s outdoor queue.
Curse of the Werewolf
Construction crews are finishing up installing safety nets on Curse of the Netting, I mean Curse of the Werewolf. About 80% of the coaster seems to be covered in nets. However, you’ll be spinning so fast avoiding werewolves, you won’t even notice!
