Epic Universe construction update: Follow Rainbow Road and the Super Star into Nintendo World
Construction crews have finished paving the way into Super Nintendo World at Universal Epic Universe, as well as other updates throughout the park.

Epic Universe’s Grand Opening is fast approaching, and construction crews know this better than anybody. Across the park, they’re installing finishing touches in each land. Documented by the wonderful eye in the sky @bioreconstruct over on X, we have a look these new additions.
Super Nintendo World
Pavement leading into the Super Nintendo World portal is finished, with a big, vibrant Super Star illustrated on the concrete. Walking down Rainbow Road into a green warp pipe: is that not every Nintendo fan’s dream?

A painting of green hills has finished on the outside of the exterior walls surrounding the Mushroom Kingdom.

We also noticed new coins above the entrance to a Lucky House, the home of a mini-game found in the video game “Super Mario 3D World.” Inside is an interactive game that guests can play and earn digital points/rewards inside the Universal Orlando app.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Themed advertisements have been placed on the Phoenix Gate leading into Wizarding Paris.

Over at the entrance to Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, construction crews places a golden Métro-floo sign atop the façade. Within the story, guests will travel via the Floo Network from Paris to the British Ministry of Magic.

Also noticed along the streets of Paris are other detail work placed on awnings and façades.

A Morris Column (a pillar that showcases different advertisements, usually found in Paris, France) displays its own set of advertisments, themed to things you’ll find across the Wizarding World.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Baby dragons have hatched on the Isle of Berk and they’re already fighting over a basket of fish!

Epic Universe is currently undergoing team member previews, which allow employees to see the park while personnel works out the kinks. This gives us on the outside a look at some of the walk-around characters inside Berk. The first image below shows an encounter with Astrid, while the next two images show Viking twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut interacting with guests.

Toothless Treasures, one of Berk’s gift shops, has a cute painting of Toothless on the shop’s entrance sign. In my mind, he painted it himself and honestly, I won’t accept any other story.

“The Untrainable Dragon” is a Broadway-level show, and the production’s marquee now stands outside the theater. On the right pole, there’s a digital sign that will display showtimes for the performance.

The exit pathway out of Berk and back into Celestial Park is still being worked on, but we do have a look at a painted dragon on the gate.

Lamp posts across the land are now themed, with the lighting being “fire” and a dragon that appears to have been crafted out of metal.

The fountain in the center of the village of Berk finally has water in it at the bottom, but is not currently flowing. We can now also see the finished pavement surrounding the fountain, with illustrations of Vikings and dragons engraved into the ground.

A themed bench resembling a Hideous Zippleback (I’m not being rude, that’s the species name of the dragon pictured) rests in the sun.

Epic Universe parking lot
While most of the parking lot at Epic Universe is finished, one portion is freshly paved. This part of the parking lot will be covered in solar panels, as made apparent by the two already installed.

We’re almost there, everyone! The Grand Opening of Epic Universe on May 22 will be here before you know it! To help pass the time until then, stay tuned to Attractions Magazine for all updates on Epic Universe!
