The Orlando-area theme park landscape will change in May 2025 when Universal Epic Universe theme park opens. Villatel Orlando Resort announced that it will hold its grand opening on March 3, 2025. The timing should work well for 2025 spring break trips and those lucky enough to visit Epic Universe when it opens. This new 80-acre resort destination — which partially opened last year — features a water park, poolside dining options, a fitness center, and sporting activities. In addition, Villatel Orlando Resort provides guests with two spacious ways to stay: The Villas and the nation’s first Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy Resort.

The Villatel Orlando Resort resides on International Drive. This location allows guests to make a short drive to destinations like Universal Orlando Resort, the Orange County Convention Center, and Dezerland Park Orlando. The resort contains 270 villas with immersive themed rooms, a collection of 256 apartments, a water park, and other upscale resort-style opportunities.

That means potential sleeping space for up to 26 people in one spacious layout. Also, each villa has baby essentials, including a highchair and a Pack-n-Play.
Every villa also features up to two highly themed bedrooms. Some examples of theming include bunk beds designed as castles, slides transforming bedrooms into playgrounds, and game rooms made for epic adventures. Immersive Scenic Studios, an Orlando-based father-son team, created these spaces.
Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy
Marriot Bonvoy reward program participants will be happy to see that the first-ever Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy are part of Villatel Orlando Resort. The resort will have 256 of these apartment-style homes away from home. They come in two- and three-bedroom models. Each has a spacious layout, full kitchens, and private balconies. Many units also include arcade games and immersive-themed bedrooms like the villas.
