Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas: Opening date, ticket pricing, haunted houses
Universal Horror Unleashed — with year-round haunted houses in Las Vegas — officially launched ticket sales and announced its opening date.

The new attraction will open on Aug. 14, 2025, as announced on Feb. 19. Universal Horror Unleashed will be located at the Area15 entertainment complex in Las Vegas. Universal first announced the project in early 2023.
Haunted houses at Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas
Universal Destinations & Experiences announced four haunted houses coming in 2025 to the first-of-its-kind, year-round Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, Nev.:
- “Universal Monsters”
- “Scarecrow: The Reaping”
- “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”
- “Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer”

All four stories have appeared in various capacities at past years’ Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios theme parks in Florida and/or California, with “Scarecrow: The Reaping” being an original idea from Universal Creative and the other three based on existing franchises.

Universal Horror Unleashed will also feature a bar with the return of Jack the Clown and Chance, original characters from HHN.

The images below published to Universal’s website for Horror Unleashed on Oct. 31 contained filenames “gothic portal” and “portal rendering,” implying themed thresholds leading to various areas of the venue.
Zooming in on that last piece, we spy cameras and lighting equipment like the kind one might find on a movie set, perhaps hinting at a production theme.
Tickets to Universal Horror Unleashed
Ticket sales for Universal Horror Unleashed launched on Feb. 19, 2025 for visits beginning Aug. 14, 2025.

The lore
Universal Horror Unleashed comes with a fictional backstory, as is tradition for Universal haunts.
“In a decrepit warehouse in Las Vegas, ancient artifacts have been brought in and collected,” said Sean Chung, show producer. “Their cursed energy has been contained within this warehouse.”
This is a rare quality among attractions: a story that acknowledges its own setting within a real place. Universal Horror Unleashed takes place in what it actually is: a warehouse in Las Vegas (as opposed to some otherworldly realm that pretends it’s not in Vegas). Another example of this narrative approach is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in Florida, which begins its story by acknowledging its exhibits exist at Epcot before “moving” to outer space.
A refresher on Horror Unleashed
Halloween Horror Nights has become a tentpole event in Universal’s annual calendar at its parks around the globe. With all-new haunted houses and scare zones developed for each year’s HHN, some fans lament the temporary nature of such detailed attractions. Horror Unleashed provides the chance for the hard work of HHN artists to live on beyond a one-time-only, two-month timeframe.
Universal is currently hiring various roles for the new attraction, including scare actors. Prospective team members (employees) can submit their information in a general interest form.
The development of Universal Horror Unleashed comes during an ambitious era for Universal Creative. In addition to the year-round haunt in Vegas, the company is also currently building two new theme parks: Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Fla. and Universal Kids near Dallas, Texas. Universal also produced “Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares,” a haunted walkthrough for Halloween 2024 inside New York City’s Rockefeller Center.
