Epic Universe: No single-day tickets or park hopping at first

Tickets to Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe will only be sold as part of multi-day passes at first, with one of the multi-days allotted for the new park.

Update, Oct. 17, 2024: Universal has officially announced the opening date and ticket options for Epic Universe, reflecting the information below.

Ticket details for Epic Universe

Universal Orlando has distributed ticketing information for its new Epic Universe theme park to third-party ticket-selling partners.

When sales launch, in order to visit Epic Universe, guests must purchase a multi-day Universal Orlando ticket package with a three-day minimum — all of which allot only one day at Epic Universe and will not include park-hopping to or from the new park. At launch time, there will be no option to purchase a stand-alone, single-day Epic Universe ticket.

Visitors can mix and match other details among a suite of options, including which of Universal’s other parks they’ll visit (Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Volcano Bay), if they want to park-hop between those original (non-Epic Universe) parks, and how many days they want to buy admission.

For international travelers, a new Explorer ticket will launch, granting access to 14 days at Universal’s original (non-Epic Universe) parks and one day at the new park. The current version of the Explorer ticket without Epic Universe admission will still be available.

The bottom line: at launch, the only way to buy an Epic Universe ticket will be to purchase a multi-day Universal Orlando ticket with a three-day minimum, with one fixed day allotted for Epic Universe.

Seeing as this information has only been sent to ticket-sellers at the time of this writing, this information may change by the time Universal formally announces it.

What about annual passholders?

The information distributed to ticket-sellers does not mention annual passholders at all.

Update: See info here.

What if I’m not interested in visiting the other Universal parks? And what if I want to visit Epic Universe for more than one day?

Other options — such as only purchasing a one-day Epic Universe ticket and nothing else, as well as multi-day Epic Universe tickets — will be rolled out later. The timetable for that roll-out — and if it will be before or after Epic Universe’s grand opening — is unknown at this time.

  1. Im planning on spending a week at Helios grand and there is no way I will be happy just getting one day at epic universe out of every three. Universal better figure this scenario out.

  2. If Disney did this people would be up in arms about it!
This is complete money (and time) grab by Universal and shows they know tourist to the area may want to spend most of their time at Disney World. I am sure they are afraid that people would just want to go over to Universal for one day at Epic so they want to ensure they can trap them for more time and money!

    1. Till mid sep Disney has 3x$89 for 3 individual parks
To add mk you must buy 4x$99 ticket.
Note this is much cheaper than the $189 we had to pay to just go to Epcot for 1 day in may

  3. This information is coming from third-party ticket-selling partners.
Unless Universal officially announces that’s how it’s gonna be I refuse to believe it.

  4. This is ridiculous, as Epic Universe will be so big, you will need AT LEAST 2 days to see it all, if not more!

  5. Easy, I’ll get 9 days minimum and enjoy three non-sequential days. Probably 12 total, could easily amuse myself at all three parks for four days each

  6. Could you confirm if 3 park tickets already purchased for august 2025 will be able to upgrade to include epic universe?

  7. I make my vacation about 9 months out, if epic tickets are not out yet can I still buy it after i make my ticket purchase? 5 day-2 park, i dont swim so I dont buy valcano bay..
