Head coach Dawn Staley led the University of South Carolina women’s basketball team in winning the NCAA Championship on April 6, 2024.
Staley and assistant coaches marked the occasion by visiting Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla. on April 27, 2024.

Their day included a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and a celebratory cavalcade through Magic Kingdom Park with Minnie Mouse. Disney cast members welcomed Coach Staley to the park by wearing Gamecocks gear and garnet and black apparel.

The Gamecocks were undefeated in their basketball season this year. Stamey is a six-time WNBA All-Star and among a rare few coaches to have three national titles in women’s college basketball. As coach, Stamey’s three-year record is 109-3.
