Toothless, Hiccup, Stormfly, and Astrid characters revealed for How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk at Epic Universe
Toothless and Hiccup will meet & greet guests in Epic Universe, and Universal revealed a sneak peek of the characters.

Universal Orlando posted professional photos to social media on March 14, 2025 of Toothless the dragon and Hiccup the Viking from the “How to Train Your Dragon” films greeting Universal team members during previews of the new Universal Epic Universe theme park.
This special look was followed by a sneak peek of Astrid and Stormfly on March 17.
Visitors can meet the dragons and Dragon Riders at Haddock Paddock, an outdoor, sheltered area within How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk when Epic Universe opens on May 22.

Other characters from DreamWorks Animation’s “How to Train Your Dragon” films who guests will encounter throughout Berk include dragon Grump, as well as Vikings Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and Gobber, according to Universal’s original Berk announcement in 2024.
Additionally, guests can see many human and scaled residents of Berk in the live show “The Untrainable Dragon.”
Toothless meeting at Epic Universe marks his Orlando debut, though a version of the dragon character previously appeared at Universal Studios Hollywood in California:
