9 new Harry Potter wands coming to Epic Universe
If you’re going to participate in a battle at the Ministry of Magic, you’ll need to be prepared. Stay strapped with these nine new “Harry Potter” wands, revealed to be coming to Epic Universe.
In an Instagram post shared by @harrypotter and @universalorlando on Feb. 7, 2025, nine new wands were revealed to be coming to the new Ministry of Magic expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The new land will reside in Universal Orlando Resort’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe, which opens in Orlando, Fla. on May 22. This marks the third land themed to the “Harry Potter” franchise at Universal Orlando, joining Hogsmeade village at Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansions are no stranger to interactive wand technology. Wands are available for purchase throughout the resort, and interact with window displays and ornamentation across Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and now the Ministry of Magic.
Recently, we discovered a new wand belonging to Dolores Umbridge, portrayed by Imelda Staunton in the Harry Potter films and returning for a new Epic Universe ride, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. We spotted the wand in the gift shop at the new Universal Stella Nova Resort.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry takes place after the final “Harry Potter” film. In the ride’s story, Umbridge will attempt to flee from her criminal trial at the Ministry of Magic.
