‘Gilmore Girls’ fans get a special treat at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood Holidays Made Here
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is offering an extra-special gift this year for fans of the hit TV series “Gilmore Girls.” In addition to the beloved tour showing guests around the historic lot, during Holidays Made Here, the grand finale allows guests to wander Stars Hollow in the same exact location where the series was shot for plenty of in-world shopping, food, photo opportunities, and more.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood in Burbank, Calif. gets you closer to the entertainment you love by taking you on the lot of a real working studio. As a recipient of Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards and recognized as one of the Top 25 Attractions in the United States, the Studio Tour gives guests a revealing look behind the camera at how Hollywood magic is made.

The location representing Stars Hollow, Conn. on “Gilmore Girls” is historically known as the Midwest Street backlot at Warner Bros. Studios. In addition to “Gilmore Girls,” decades of entertainment has been filmed on these sets, including Christmas classics “Gremlins” and “Jack Frost.” The iconic winter and holiday episodes of “Gilmore Girls” makes now the perfect time to celebrate the hit series as the show prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025.

Although this isn’t the first time “Gilmore Girls” has been celebrated during Holidays Made Here, it’s never been done on such an extreme, grand scale. The entire Midwest Street backlot has been redressed as Stars Hollow using reproductions as well as actual props and décor used on the series. It is quite literally like walking directly into the TV show.

With nine shops and five eateries available, there is plenty to keep any “Gilmore Girls” fan entertained for hours. Tour guests can step into Luke’s Diner, exactly where it was shot for the series, to purchase some hot chocolate, Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee, popcorn (with collectible popcorn bucket), pastries, and more.

If it’s in-world merchandise you’re looking for, you can get yourself a Stars Hollow, Conn. sweatshirt, Dragonfly Inn Christmas tree ornaments, tea sets, and so much more. A lot of this merchandise can only be purchased at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood.

In addition to all of this, “Gilmore Girls” trivia, costume contests, cookie decorating, and exhibits showcasing authentic costumes and props from the series are also available to all guests. Plus, as the sun sets each night, join fellow “citizens” of Stars Hollow for a Christmas tree lighting and more surprises.

Danny Kahn, vice president and general manager of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, states, “This year’s Holidays Made Here is even bigger and more interactive, with new activities and experiences.” He continues, “We look forward to welcoming ‘Gilmore Girls’ fans from far and wide as we celebrate the charm and cheer of Stars Hollow during the holiday season.”

If you’re reading all of this and thinking to yourself, “I’ll never have enough time to experience everything in Stars Hollow that I want to,” I have some great news for you. This finale experience is entirely go-at-your-own pace. Once you’re dropped off in Stars Hollow, you can stay and linger until the tours close each day. If you really want to experience it all, book yourself a morning tour and hang out in Stars Hollow all day after taking the primary tour.

And for more additional great news, the Stars Hollow offering is included in all Studio Tours from now until Jan. 5, 2025 (excluding Dec. 25, 2024). Tours depart from 9 a.m – 3:30 p.m. daily. Tickets, details, and availability for all tours are available at wbstudiotour.com.

In addition to all of these “Gilmore Girls” special offerings, the holiday treats don’t stop there. During your Studio Tour, you may just see the antique shop where Gizmo the Mogwai was met at the beginning of the holiday classic “Gremlins,” redressed for the holidays. Plus, you’ll get to see Will Ferrell’s “Elf” costume while experiencing Stage 48: Script to Screen during your tour, and many more holiday surprises.
As if all of this isn’t enough, I have even more good news for anybody traveling through Burbank, Calif. Even if a full Studio Tour isn’t part of your plans, you can still enjoy some free holiday offerings from Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood in the lobby.

In the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood lobby, they rotate costume and prop displays throughout the year. For the holiday season, “Batman Returns” memorabilia is shown in its full glory, as this superhero movie takes place during Christmas time. Here you can find Catwoman, The Penguin, and Batman costumes along with full-size vehicles.

Also included in the lobby is Starbucks and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood store with tons of merchandise only available there. Holiday merchandise in the store features “Gremlins,” “A Christmas Story,” “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” and so much more.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood has so much to offer this holiday season, from “Gilmore Girls” to “Batman.” Whether it’s your first visit or not, it’s well worth making a special visit to the historic lot for these limited-time offerings.
