In another change of protocol to Disney theme parks’ former FastPass system, a new expedited-entry option was introduced at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California.

Every attraction, once, any time

Functioning similarly to the Express Pass at Universal parks, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disney theme parks will grant access to any attraction in the Lightning Lane roster without having to schedule specific arrival times or keep up with booking more reservations throughout the day. Disney shared the information with travel agents on Oct. 16, 2024; the products launched Oct. 23 (at Disneyland) and Oct. 30 (at Walt Disney World).

Lightning Lane Premier Pass rules

Disney sells “very limited quantities” of Lightning Lane Premier Passes. Guests can visit each eligible attraction once. The participating attractions include those offered with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. The existing systems introduced in summer 2024 for Multi Pass and Single Pass will remain in place for guests who prefer those choices instead.

There are a few differences in the procedures for the Premier Pass at Disney World vs. Disneyland, so make sure to familiarize yourself with the correct set of rules.

  1. Disneyland is doing it right. Disney World restrictions to deluxe guests only really stinks…..any on property guest should be eligible. Wake up Disney World & understand your audience.
