Stella Nova vs. Terra Luna: Universal Orlando’s new hotels at Epic Universe
Two of the new hotels at Universal Epic Universe are Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, and while these two sister hotels are certainly very similar, they’re not identical twins.

Both Universal Stella Nova (open since Jan. 21, 2025) and Universal Terra Luna (open since March 25, 2025) are in Universal Orlando’s Prime Value hotel category (along with Universal Aventura Hotel) and offer “a mix of services and amenities made for comfort and affordability.”

Guests at Prime Value hotels enjoy resort-style amenities and fast-casual dining options. All Universal Orlando onsite hotels offer exclusive theme park benefits, including complimentary transportation to theme parks and Universal CityWalk, early park admission (including to Epic Universe), and resort-wide charging privileges. Universal Orlando Resort hotels are operated by Loews Hotels.
Stella Nova and Terra Luna Design & Theming
The two hotels—both covered in iridescent rainbow-hued tiles—have similar space-inspired theming; however, Stella Nova was designed to “reflect the infinite vastness of the universe,” while Terra Luna invites guests “to step onto a new planet that has yet to be discovered.” Those themes are reflected through different color schemes, with Stella Nova favoring blue, teal, and purple, while Terra Luna uses earth tones like green and gold.

Both hotels have 750 standard rooms with two queen beds (there are no king-bedded rooms, no connecting rooms, and no family suites); both feature space station-styled windows and Universal’s popular split bathroom configuration.

Dining Options
The hotels have corresponding dining outlets, including lobby bars pouring specialty cocktails, quick service eateries serving made-to-order items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, grab-and-go markets, and poolside bars and grills.
At Stella Nova Resort:
Nova Bar

Cosmos Cafe and Market

Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill

At Terra Luna Resort:
Luna Bar

Omega Cafe and Market

Moonrise Bar and Moonrise Grill

Stella Resort Amenities
Guests at Stella Nova Resort and Terra Luna Resort can take advantage of complimentary state-of-the-art fitness centers, game rooms featuring arcade and video games, Universal Orlando Resort stores, and a dedicated Universal Resort desk for help with tickets and Express Pass.
Both hotels also feature a 10,000-square-foot resort-style pool with a hot tub, lounge and table seating, a fire pit, and more. Activities include poolside movies and outdoor games.

Location
Stella Nova and Terra Luna are located at Universal Orlando Resort’s “South Campus,” just minutes from Universal Epic Universe—and some guest rooms feature views of the spectacular new theme park.

Complimentary shuttles are available to Epic Universe from both hotels; however, Stella Nova (the closer of the two) also has a dedicated walking path to the park. Because Terra Luna is on the other side of a busy street, guests are currently advised not to walk to Epic Universe; however, we hear rumors that a safe walking path will be available when Epic Universe officially opens on May 22.
Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, CityWalk, and most other Universal Orlando hotels are about 15 minutes away by shuttle.
