‘Happiness is Butterbeer’ in Orlando’s third Harry Potter world

Butterbeer might be on the menu inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, the name of Orlando’s third Potter-themed area, which in 2025 at the new Universal Epic Universe park.

Aerial photographer bioreconstruct captured an image on July 12, 2024 of a newly erected billboard installed at the Epic Universe construction site. The billboard displays the word “Bièrbaubeurre” in large letters, followed by the phrase “Le bonheur ç’est la Bièrbaubeurre,” which translates to “Happiness is butterbeer.”

The billboard seemingly implies that the guest-favorite Butterbeer drink will be sold within the new area in some capacity. Though much of the ornamentation throughout Place Cachée “advertises” wizarding products and businesses that likely won’t actually exist as real establishments that guests can visit, Butterbeer is very much a real product already established within Universal’s “Harry Potter” worlds. The non-alcoholic beverage is served hot, cold, or frozen inside the existing Wizarding World areas — Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley — at Universal Orlando’s other parks.

Universal has yet to formally reveal the attractions of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, but has said the area will span multiple points in the Potter timeline. Its exteriors resemble 1920s-era Place Cachée in France, as seen in 2018’s “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Gindelwald,” while unannounced elements will take place in 1990s London, the decade in which the main “Harry Potter” stories take place.

Elsewhere within the Ministry of Magic construction site, bioreconstruct captured photos of the foundations of a circus-like tent. Place Cachée hosts a sideshow of magical beasts in “The Crimes of Grindelwald.”

Construction teams continue to add thematic details that provide some backstory for the fictional citizens of Place Cachée. To whom might these blue curtains belong?
