Epic Universe hotels construction update: Helios Grand, Stella Nova, Terra Luna
Universal Orlando is entering the final months of construction on the three hotels that will accompany Epic Universe: Helios Grand, Stella Nova, and Terra Luna.
From high in the sky, bioreconstruct captured another round of aerial photos of Universal Epic Universe construction on Oct. 4 & 10, 2024. The new theme park will open May 22, 2025 in Orlando, Fla. (New to Epic Universe? Check out our beginner’s guide.) Today, we’re focusing on the three new hotels joining Epic Universe.
Refresher of the new Epic Universe hotels
In tandem with the construction of the new Epic Universe theme park, Universal Orlando is building three additional resort hotels:
- Universal Stella Nova Resort, opening Jan. 21, 2025
- Universal Terra Luna Resort, opening March 25, 2025 (originally Feb. 25)
- Universal Helios Grand Hotel, opening May 22, 2025
These new accommodations near Epic Universe will bring the total of official Universal Orlando hotel properties to 11.
Stella Nova and Terra Luna hotels are both located across the street from Epic Universe. Similar in scope and style, both resorts will belong to Universal’s “Prime Value” tier of hotels (the second-least-expensive category).
Helios Grand is attached to the back of Epic Universe, with overnight guests having their own private entrance into the park. Helios Grand will belong to Universal’s Signature Collection tier of hotels (the most-expensive category).

Construction workers continue making progress on an outdoor patio area of Universal Helios Grand Hotel that will directly overlook Celestial Park, the central hub of Epic Universe.
Zooming out shows just how close the proximity is of Helios Grand and the theme park. The hotel is very much in Epic Universe.
On the other side of Helios Grand (the side not facing the park), progress continues on the arrival area, pool, and parking deck (for hotel guests only; other Epic Universe guests will park in a lot).
Universal Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts
Across the street from Epic Universe, additional hotels Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort are in varying stages of construction.
Stella Nova will open first, in January. As such, it’s visibly closer to completion, with the pool filled in and landscaping appearing ready. In the top right corner of the photo below is Epic Universe. Though not quite walkable, the park will be very close to Stella Nova and Terra Luna.
The apartment complex next door is so close!
Not as far along in its landscaping, but still nearly finished, is Terra Luna, opening in February.
