Epic Universe construction update at night with photos, video
Epic Universe at night is glowing with themed lighting as construction continues on Universal Orlando’s new theme park.
bioreconstruct has a real treat for us today! The aerial photographer took to the skies after dark (!) to capture new photos and video of Universal Epic Universe at night on Nov. 1, 2024. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Let’s start our Epic Universe night tour with photographs of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, the exteriors of which depict Place Cachée from “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.”
Warm mood lighting conveys the story of wizarding Paris in the 1920s. While the streets of Place Cachée are empty for now, they’ll soon be bustling with activity.
A combination of utility lighting and themed show lighting in these photos gives us an idea of how this corner of Epic Universe will embrace the romanticism of a night in Paris with the fantastical flair of The Wizarding World. Rooftop “chimneys” are bathed in a warm glow, while blue circles spotlight other façades.
Of course, Epic Universe’s opening date is still over six months away, and what we see here is certainly subject to change. Any and all of it could simply be a test of its lighting equipment’s functionality rather than an indication of the finished look.
If the lighting is any indication of the lore, some wizarding businesses are still open after dark. As for the residential quarters, it seems some of Place Cachée’s tenants are still awake, while others have turned in for the night.
