Universal Orlando hotels construction update: Pools filled at Helios Grand, Terra Luna
Pools at Universal Orlando hotels near Epic Universe are now filled with water as Opening Day grows nearer for the three new resorts and the new park.
In a milestone toward their grand openings, the pools at all three new hotels near Universal Epic Universe — Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Universal Terra Luna Resort, and Universal Stella Nova Resort — have been filled with water, as spotted by aerial photographer bioreconstruct on Nov. 15, 2024.
Construction continues on the three properties, which will bring the total number of overnight accommodations at Universal Orlando to 11. Stella Nova will open first, on Jan. 21, 2025; followed by Terra Luna on March 25, 2025; and finally Helios Grand on May 22, 2025, the same day as the grand opening of Epic Universe itself.
Pools filled at new Universal hotels
The pool at Universal Helios Grand will provide its hotel guests with solace just steps away from Epic Universe. Helios Grand is attached to the back of the park, and the pool is practically adjacent to the show building for Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, one of the rides in Epic Universe’s Dark Universe.
Universal Terra Luna Resort’s hotel pool was also recently filled with water.
Across the street, the pool at Stella Nova has been full for several months now.
Shade at Epic Universe
On the topic of keeping cool during a day at Epic Universe, in addition to filling Universal hotel pools, construction workers continue installing shade structures throughout the new theme park.
